Roll Payments is an all in one platform for martial arts academies, especially Jiu Jitsu. It combines gym management software, dual pricing payment processing, a managed billing team that contacts members about failed payments, a website we design and host, and next day funding, for one flat monthly fee.

We specialise in Jiu Jitsu but support martial arts and combat sports academies generally: BJJ, Karate, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, MMA and more. Workflows and terminology are tuned for these schools rather than for general fitness studios.
Yes. A portion of revenue funds athlete sponsorships and free Jiu Jitsu opportunities for under resourced kids.

Yes. Plans and classes can be organised by belt level or program, and each student carries their promotion history and instructor notes, so you can see who is due without keeping a separate spreadsheet. More on the platform.

Members check in on a tablet at the door and instructors see attendance in real time. Attendance sits in the same record as the membership and the payment history, so a student who has stopped showing up and a student whose card failed are both visible in one place.
Yes. Plans run by belt level or program, so kids programs, adult classes, no gi and Muay Thai can each have their own memberships, schedules and pricing inside one academy account.
Schedules carry capacity and waitlists, instructors are assigned with their hours tracked, and students can filter to classes their belt or skill level is allowed in. The same calendar embeds on the website we build, so the public schedule is never out of date.
Waivers are signed online before the first class, stored indefinitely, and a copy is sent to the academy. They travel with the member record rather than sitting in a filing cabinet.

Yes. We design, build, host and update a website for your academy, with program and schedule pages, lead forms, and online registration and waivers wired into the same account as billing. Hosting and the security certificate are covered by the monthly fee. See academy websites we built.

When a card fails, the system retries, the card updater refreshes cards that were reissued, and our billing specialists follow up with the member by email and phone as your academy until it is resolved. You get weekly recovery reports. Owners tell us it gives back 20 to 40 hours a month. See how managed billing works or the Checkmat case study.

Yes, as your academy and under your brand, never as a collections agency. We follow your policies on freezes, cancellations and reactivations, so members get a consistent experience.
No. It is included with every account, with no commissions and no per recovery fees.

Dual pricing posts a cash price and a card price. A member who pays by card chooses the card price, which includes a clearly labeled service fee, so your academy keeps the cash price intact and the processing cost is $0. It is compliant when both prices are clearly disclosed and card brand display rules are followed. Model your own volume with the savings calculator.

Card transactions use the card price, which includes the cost of acceptance. Members paying cash access the cash price. Both prices are shown before they choose, which is why adoption is generally straightforward.
Yes. Card transactions are typically funded the next business day for qualified merchants. Bank and ACH timing depends on your bank posting schedule.
From countertop units to handhelds for events, we will recommend the right mix for your front desk, seminars and mat side sales.
Yes. We provide best practice documentation, evidence templates and support to reduce disputes and to respond effectively when they happen.

We use tokenization and a Level 1 validated gateway partner, so sensitive card data never touches your site or devices. We also provide guidance to complete your self assessment. More on card security.

Through Safe Academy 360, our optional safety add on, yes. New registrations are checked against public records and sex offender registries as part of the signup members already complete, and screening is disclosed in the registration agreement. The academy sees which sources answered and any possible matches, with the public record linked, for its own review.

An absence of matches is not proof of anything. Registry data is incomplete, matching is name based, and no screening catches everyone. Safe Academy 360 is not a government program, not a licensing body, and not a guarantee.

Coaches are screened against public records, and SafeSport, mandated reporter and CPR certificates are uploaded and tracked to their own expiry dates. The academy is listed publicly with a certificate a parent can verify, plus a placard and a website badge.
It is an optional add on at $25 per month per academy plus $5 per month per certified coach, with no setup fee. It is not part of the $199.99 platform fee.

One flat fee of $199.99 per gym per month. No tiers, no per student fees, no setup fee and no percentage of your revenue. Dual pricing separately removes the card processing cost, which for most academies is the larger of the two numbers. See the full pricing breakdown.

No. $199.99 is per gym, not per student, so adding members does not change the invoice. A second location is a second gym.
No. Roll Payments is month to month, governed by simple California terms, with no annual lock in and no early termination fee.
Many academies launch within a few days of onboarding. Timelines depend on migration complexity, such as data quality and gateway transfers, and on how quickly website feedback comes back.
Yes. We migrate member profiles, memberships and waivers, and where your current gateway permits, tokenized payment data. Some gateways charge a data transfer fee that they collect directly. The transition itself is free and there is no manual data entry on your side.
Roll does not charge a transfer fee. A data transfer fee of around $500 may be assessed by the gateway provider, which is standard across the industry and not something Roll collects.

The main differences are a flat fee instead of tiers, card processing at $0 through dual pricing, a website included, and a billing team that makes the follow up calls. See Roll Payments vs Zen Planner or Roll Payments vs Kicksite.

Included. U.S. based billing and technical support comes with every account, and so does the managed billing team. There is no premium support tier to buy.
